lucretia my reflection :)
Half the music you listen to, I've never heard of. I gotta get out more! Getting it on music, as it's nearing valentines day, I would say Roxy music and the City of Angels Soundtrack. And I'm a sucker for a rock ballad, an eg would be Def Leppard - Love Bites.
Nothing really because music doesn't put me in the mood for that.
I agree with Mark. If I had to put something on, I would probably listen to a mixtape of slower Lou Barlow and Sebadoh songs...or Pelican, lol.
Moondance, Van Morrison
Sisters of Mercy, I like that, Inconsequential! Spoon, I like the Roxy choice. I used to loathe "Love Bites" but I'm more open to it now.
Watch, wonderful choice. I always think of the shower scene in American Werewolf in London with Van Morrison playing, one of the most sensual and erotic scenes in mainstream film. I always think of that when I put on Moondance.
Mark and Fred, I know what you mean, but I suppose I have a variety of emotions that I need nurtured by different types of music.
That movie is one of my all time favs. Maybe it had more of an influence on me than I realized.
...and it's a full moon cycle, too. oh no!
"Stay on the road. Keep clear of the moors."
Words to live by, for sure! I was pretty durned creeped out after seeing that film in the 80s. Classic stuff.
Anything by HIM....
I need to sit down and have a closer listen to HIM, Etain...I've only had casual listens and know he's got a large cult of listeners out there, which is why I pay attention at least...my gut is telling me he's a potential modern Goth lord where Peter Murphy, Robert Smtih and Andrew Aldritch were before him
