i only saw Anthrax once, back in '89 or '90 when they opened for Ozzy at the Providence Civic Center. my buddy and i were in the nosebleeds but we managed to mosh out an entire section for ourselves.

I saw 'em in 89/90 on the first HBB tour (State of Euphoria tour) and I was there at the Starland Ballroom in NJ where the Alive 2 show was filmed; amazing night...but this show was equally fun and I was right up on the stage so that was badass... I won't ever forget that NJ gig either...they were the most polite buncha thrashers I've ever met...everyone kept getting crazy, almost hostile, but when they bumped into you, every single one apologized or excused themselves...very unique

cjk_44 - That was the No Rest For The Wicked tour! I live in Pawtucket and that was a huge tour my senior year in high school!

I've seen Anthrax a ton of times with John Bush but only the one time with Belladonna, I was hoping the reunion would last.

Ray - It's still that way in NJ. I've only lived here going on 4 years, but every show I've been to is the same. The pits will get wicked crazy, but the same guy that knocked you down will help you back up and ask if you're alright...and these are Slayer/Lamb of God type crowds.

Then cheers to you and the NJ metalheads, Bob! I salute your classiness!

Rhodey, I think you saw a different leg of that tour with Ozzy because the HBB tour was Anthrax headlining with Helloween and I forget who else...where's Metal Mark when I need him? We went to that one together.

Steve, i'll betcha i could find that ticket stub from the Ozzy/Anthrax show if i looked hard enough.

i much prefer the Belladonna stuff compared to the Bush stuff, but i think it is equally great.

Yeah, my stub should be somewhere in a junk box (of which I have way too many).

What's to say? Bush did an amazing job and they put out quality work (be on the lookout for a WCFYA Underappreciated Slabs look in the near future), but we all grew up with Joey, so much we tend to forget about Neil Turbin. I'm interested to hear what Anthrax is doing with their new singer Dan. Hmmmmmm...

Still, everyone knows there's pure magic with Joey in lead. I've now seen him perform five times and before the reunion he was fun, gamey and took the drums and sang on his solo show to about 50 people, but with Anthrax, I saw a different Joey, one who still had that magical elixir in his veins when opening up for Doro Pesch last summer in another solo slot...surely there's something about the 'thrax that fuels his fires
