Whattya Listenin' to Wednesday - 7/6/11

Howdy, howdy...

Hope everyone had a fun and safe 4th of July. Too bad a couple of people in Baltimore can't say they did, given they were shot and stabbed during the fireworks show at the city's Inner Harbor. Freaking cowardice makes me sick.

But on a nicer note, let's get those playlists coming, huh? Don't be shy, don't think you're a dork, don't act like you're too cool. I see you coming by and checking everyone else's lists. Be a player, not a watcher. As you can see by my list this week, I had an avalanche of spins between my office desk and working in the new place trying to get these damned boxes out of my sight and get my important matters addressed. Music keeps it flowing. You know it, I know it. So tell me, whattya listenin' to, people?

Coming up at The Metal Minute, we'll be checking out new joints from Unearth, White Orange, Possessor, Crossfade, Bad Company and Brent Hinds, so we'll see ya again, yea?

LOL, Mark, too bad my kid isn't old enough to read yet so I could let him begin the HP series while the world preps for the final film. He knows there's something special about it and he's seen the first film (the only one I feel safe showing him right now), so it'll be fun once he can get into it all. I think the HP legacy will be with us a long time and lord knows what spinoffs or continuations there'll be once he's ready.

Chuck, glad to see you in the groove again. I think you should go DJ at WTMD.

Godmachine12, thanks a mil for coming by with your list, man! Hope others start doing likewise. It's fun stuff to see what people are listening to. You liking the new Sep?

cjk, my mom recently finished the Richards book and she kept quoting it.

Though I don't cite what I'm reading usually, I've been pecking at Nick Tosches' "The Devil and Sonny Liston" when I have a couple minutes to read.
